On December 15, 2021, the American ESD Association issued a new standard of version 2021, namely ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021, providing new electrostatic protection guidelines for electronic devices manufacturers.
American ESD association is composed of manufacturers and users of electronic components. Its main members include IBM, Motorola and other companies. The OEM factories or suppliers of these companies must pass ANSI/ESD S20.20. Only after certification can we obtain and maintain the qualification of OEM and supplied products. For manufacturers of chips, electronic components, power supplies and converters, and display screens, ANSI/ESD S20.20 is similar to a mandatory certification standard as a supplier of well-known customers.
