On March 12, 2018, the international organization for Standardization (ISO) released the new occupational health and safety standard -- ISO45001. This standard will replace OHSAS18001, and organizations that have obtained OHSAS18001 certification will have three years to move to the new standard.

ISO45001 is the first ISO occupational health and safety standard in the world. It will help enterprises provide safe and healthy working environment for their employees and other personnel, prevent death, industrial injury and health problems, and strive to continuously improve occupational health and safety performance.
